not a wordless wednesday...

well, we can all see that it's impossible to spell wednesday...
just a blurb. last week was the road to wally's 1 year anniversary!!!!

thank you all two of you reading this for sticking in there through the dry spells. i'm getting off to a better start this year and am hoping to post something every week. also thinking of doing a "picture a day" for a whole year. what interesting things will end up on the camera (and does our hard drive have enough room for this endeavor?)

Spring Comes

in the greatest of Texas traditions, watching the spring bluebonnets bloom are at the top of the list. people pull off roads to take pictures of thick carpets of the flowers. (a hazard when people pull off of major highways...that's another story)
needless to say, the hunt for the perfect spot for taking pictures can be exhausting. luckily, my pinkie dad rides bikes every weekend and paused long enough to notice some nice thickets.
upon learning the where-abouts, my mum promptly dragged us out of the house early saturday morning and proceeded to interrupt my walk with her "photo shoot".

and really, how handsome do i look in this picture?!?!!!



it was torture sitting there, so mum had to "restrain" me and dad decided he would take up the picture taking...



luckily we got some walking in on this adventure...

spaw day!!!

so after roughly 6 months of living with an ewok, i mean airedale, it was time...
time for the a spaw day!

wally got shined up, cut, trimmed, buffed and polished. and the results????
PERFECTION!!!

(truth be told, when dad picked me up...he had to check my tongue for my distinguishing black spot) that's how different i looked!
after my haircut, i was able to spend more time outside running and leaping in general aire-play. my new do helped with my aire-odynamics :)
(my mum has yet to get some pics of me in mid-aire...she's persistent though)

hello everyone...all two of you :)
my mum is posting some pics of me to keep from having to watch the zombie movie on tv...gory business. (but pretty funny)
i went to the dog park today for my weekly play time/socialization. had some fun, especially with a german sheapard. that's another story.


that's me and my human dad walking into the Dog Depot...best dog park ever!


mum got the "action shot" i was playing hard to get, but honestly, i'll just say i'm not the fastest pup at the park...those little guys have hot wheels!!

but, all that running made me hot in my fluffy coat (soon to be removed...hello groomer)


mum said "ugh" but i said "woo-hoo!!" at least she had a towel in the truck. we got back in time for a long snoozer and some chow.

here is what my humans have been up to the past week...can't believe they left me at the pet resort while they played in ALL that SNOW!!!!



and the nerve of them seeing all those beautiful cliffs and colorful rock...



oh...and they got to drive around on Route 66.



BUT...i'm happy to have them home with me now ;)

no longer in my 20s :(

well, it happened...i turned 30.
now i don't technically look that old nor do i feel that old--yet. people mistake me for being younger all the time and i still get carded at the grocery store and sometimes at restaurants. so i'm safe for time being :)
celebrations started at work with my office all wearing stovepipe hats (my birthday happens to be Abe Lincoln's as well) and singing happy birthday to me!!! it was so hysterical, especially at 8 in the morning. then we had breakfast tacos followed by a delicious chocolate cake with Abe's likeness on top. (pics to come...)

after work i pampered myself with many girly indulgences and then met up with friends for a surprise dinner. good food, and fun times catching up.
hangover in the morning :)

...but wally made me feel better, well enough for a family pose...

Welcome 2010!

Hello everyone it's been a while. One of my resolutions (ok, the only REAL resolution) is to stay current and post more on this blog. This sounds familiar because on every other blog I see a post like this one every now and then. So I'm not alone!!! :)
Wally says hi and is glad to be home from the pet resort. It was fun, but he missed us tremendously (I"m sure of it).
We were in Louisiana for the new year celebrations, visiting our friends who moved away from austin :( They are well, with a wonderful baby boy that we fondly call D3. We always have fun down there and we are lucky to have this tradition.
This weekend we will celebrate Ben's birthday...he's soooo old (chuckle).

It's the end of a decade people, let's hope the teens hold peace and prosperity for us all.
