Back to Normal...

***Sorry this is SOOO...late friends, mum was sucked into netflix and some show about biker gangs (Sons of Anarchy, note: I am NOT, nor will I ever be in a motorcycle gang, nor do i condone their "gang-ness"...but it's really entertaining to watch!!)

Good morning fellow paws!
My mum has procrastinated as per usual, and is finally posting about my third week into the “100 Days of Wally” series. I had some fun adventures with my pinkies and I guess they had some without me, but I’m not sure what fun can be had outside of my presence, as you all would agree.

DAY 15: Things got back to normal after the ACL business from the previous weekend. Mum as usual catching me at my best…sometimes. We are watching TV and chilling.

DAY 16: When mum “opens up the house” (open the blinds/front door to let the light and a breeze in)  I station myself front and center at the front door to monitor watch the world passing by. I like to know who is traipsing past my estate :) if they look threatening I’ll let them know to stay away with my ferocious bark (pretty much anything that moves gets a bark…unfortunate sometimes for the poor kids wheeling by on bikes!)  Mum got up close and personal  with this shot.

DAY 17: Did you know that I’m a superb sou-chef?!? Well, check it out…I’m in the kitchen even when the main chef is out on the couch. I’m always concerned with the quality of the dinners around here!

IMAG0119

DAY 18: hmmm...gratuitous Airedale paraphernalia around the house...
Magnet me!! (to be explained in a later post I'm sure)

DAY 19: The stink eye…

DAY 20: Mum had pity on my beautiful self and loaded me up in the truck to visit the Round RockDog Depot. It’s my very favorite place to go and there are always lots of doggies to meet when we go.

DAY 21: My dearest pinkies got off the couch finally and loaded me into the car for a proper walk!! We went to Lake Georgetown to hike the trail that goes around the lake…26 miles. (we did NOT hike 26 miles!!) It was warmer than we thought so I may have tired out and mum turned us around after an hour and a half. But I had plenty of water and dad thought to make and bring some lovely pb&j’s to snack on. They were very tasty!

must lay down to lap up my water...it's still a bit too warm for a long hike.

The Cone of Shame...and Other Events

Continuing in my "100 Days of Wally" project, week 2 promises to be substantially more interesting than mum previously thought...oh the joys of living with a 75# ewok airedale.

Day 8: Mum returns home and feels the need to capture my raw animal essence by posing me...in front of her seedlings. I don't get it either. (those will eventually be broccoli and brussel sprouts)
I make the most of the hippie garden situation by intently following the actions of a squirrel on the neighbor's tree. Always a hunter!

IMAG0048

Day 9: Another bomb...mum neglected to take a picture of me...AGAIN. Stay tuned.

Day 10: This is my transitional stage of my injury (see below for explanation) my dad thought this would keep me from licking my bum so much…in truth it worked for about 30 min and then I just had to get them off of me!! Mum thinks I look hilarious…there was lots of laughing this night, by everyone but me.
(Wally tends to move as little as possible when he is "put upon" by objects/people...he very sullenly laid there for this pic, I'm sure shooting daggers at me from his beautiful eyes)

IMAG0060

Day 11: I was in the process of being groomed to handsomeness when my dad accidentally knicked my bum region with the clippers. Nothing serious of course until I felt the need to inspect it constantly with my super long aire-tongue and that in turn made it throbbing raw mess back there, according to mum anyway. Off to the nice vet lady I went and when I returned home mum could NOT stop laughing at me because of this:

Let's see the progression of my shame/ire...

I was able to assist/supervise my dad as he prepared our dinner that evening...chicken cutlets!!

IMAG0066

Side note: it might behoove vet offices to not allow cats to roam their waiting/lobby area…I am, shall we say not empathetic toward cats, which the vet’s office found out on Thursday. Oh well, it’s not like I caught it or anything!!

Day 12: My pinkies departed the cottage with their other pinky friends and proceeded to some music festival called Austin City Limits to wander around for hours listening to several bands set up over 7 stages. They came back LATE at night and smelled really bad to me so I’m positive they had a great time!! Possible “Fun Fact”, mum thinks the “Cone of Shame” enhances my sense of smell…interesting.

Day 13: The pinky group is recouperating by laying about the furniture and sipping clear liquids and spontaneously dozing off while watching about 25 thousand hours of college football…totally boring!! Two more pinkies were added and the group departed to a local sports bar to watch their alma mater win by the skin of their teeth.

Day 14: All “extra” pinkies have vacated the cottage and I’m left with my mum and dad…and the cone – still. (happy to note that my bum is improving and healing up quite nicely)

Thus concludes week 2, hope you are all having a howl of a good time!!

My Mum LOVES My Face...

Howdy folks!
Following this new (and first) series that my Mum has started, I’ll show you the extreme beauty of my Day 3-7 photos. Extreme beauty handsom-ness people, extreme!!

Day 3 – Mum learned quickly that the lighting was vitally important for getting that really spectacular “glamour” shot…also helpful: if the subject stays still. Please enjoy my “fly away” ear and my general curliness.

IMAG0002_COVER

Day 4 – Well, Mum fell off the wagon ALREADY…there were no stills to be taken this day, however, she did get overly excited from Day 3 and also took this video of me expertly excavating A VERY IMPORTANT AIREDALE HOLLOW.
Mum-odd only for the fact that this was taken in the middle of the day on my lunch break and he usually only does this “crazy” digging at night when he’s stalking/hunting the critters.

Day 5 – After packing up her things Mum declares she’s leaving me forever = the weekend and snaps a parting face shot…mid pant and looking mighty scruffy.

IMAG0032

Day 6 – Since my full-time pinkie handler left me temporarily, it was just me and the “mailman” holding down the fort. He graciously took these pics of me enjoying a car ride…and possibly eating the giant grasshoppers that were flying up everywhere. That IS a smile on my face J

Day 7 – Mum’s return and what’s that?!?!? A sleek looking me gracefully adorning my bed…dad shaved me nearly bald in some places and gave me a much needed bath. We also took the opportunity to lounge about the house and play video games whilst mum was away. Sneaky.

IMAG0038

Stay tuned to see my haire-cut in the sunlight!! First week of “100 Days of Wally” complete…sort of J Thanks for checking me out and I do so enjoy seeing what you all in the bloggy world have been up to as well.

Take care!

100 Days of ME!!!

Yes, folks it's TRUE!! Mum has proclaimed that the next 100 days are all about me (no, that's not really what I meant...) minor detail mum, minor.
Over the next 100 days, mum is pledging to take a photo/video a day of stinky little old me. In an effort to decrease the usable space on her hard drive and backup, she will keep and publish all the photos of moi here on the bloggy, under my supervision of course.
Whether or not she'll post each day has not been determined. It might look more like a weekly run down of 7 photos/videos. Either way, that means more web time with me!! I know all five of you are excited about this. :)
oh, and Mum is saying that the Oct. 1 posting of my videos counts as the first day! Just sayin.

So here is Day 2:
This is me hypnotising begging my dad for his half of a fresh fig...I was not successful this time. But take note aire-friends, figs are DELICIOUS!!

IMAG0030

It might be good to note that better light = better pictures...I waited too long and had to take an inside shot in  the cave living room. Also, black & white makes everything look better :)
I find his little tail to be the most interesting/amusing part of this photo.

Video killed the...pics!

Howdy all!
My dearest Mum is trying her hand at posting videos...please be patient and don't expect ANY editing or special effects...except my magnificent/athletic prowess on the law & patio.
Mum:
These are some of the videos we've taken over the 4 years we've been blessed to live with our ewok roomate. Oh, and please ignore the audio...I sound like a banshee!

I love, LOVE, love water....sprayed at me, shallow baby pools, pool steps, shallow creeks (not so much swimming in larger bodies of water). This is me enjoying an outdoor bath.

The very FIRST friend I ever had was this girl, Mia. She is a mutt with the look of a Kelpie type breed. She came to stay with us months after I moved in since her pinkie was out of town a few days. She is REALLY FAST and runs circles round me all the time! Of all my 4-leggy friends, she is my favorite!

Who doesn't enjoy a good Kong?!?

Well folks, that's all the "found footage" for now, Mum will start taking more "moving pictures" of me now that she has figured out how to upload them to my memoirs blog.
Peace Out!
